ACDHS Week 12

This week, I was tasked with writing reports on two documents that I had to read and analyze and present the database I made to an administrative employee to get the approval process moving forward. The first document I had to generate a report on dealt with virtual employees and how to best incorporate methods of inclusion. The second document was pretty interesting and dealt with learning analytics. I found out that we can use our Learning Management System to gather data based on employee performance and feedback in training programs and then apply the idea of learning analytics. According to the Society for Learning Analytics and Research (SoLAR), learning analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of data about learners and their contexts, for purposes of understanding and optimizing learning and the environment in which it occurs. This is an interesting idea to apply to ensure the employees within an organization are competent in the areas in which they work.

I presented the database this week  as well, which went great. The person I presented to was pleased with it, they think it is organized well and easy to use. They were able to easily follow the instructional guides that I made for using the database as well. I am hoping to hear soon if they will be pushing the project forward.

Next Week’s Objectives: This is technically my last week of the Co-Op, but as I said in another blog post, I am here until April so I will just be doing whatever they ask of me.

Rating: 5 out of 5. I was very productive this week and feel great about my work.
