CDC Internship Week 6

The learning lesson for this week was addressing the issues that come with encryption of new devices and how the TPM locks out the computer on certain situations. If we fail to disable the encryption software while updating the BIOS the computer will be locked out. This will also occur when removing the hard drive and plugging it into a docking port or other computer to try and recover data. If this occurs we then have to contact a separate department to have our recovery key sent to us in order to unlock the device. The lesson learned is that one must really pay attention to detail in order to avoid any unnecessary delays.
