Internship:

WEEK 4

In week 4, I have assisted in the editing of our website, www.get-migthy.com, by creating and adding an FAQ page, and a rates & review page. I have also drafted numerous IOS app store icon designs using the sketch app for mac and working with our UI/UX designer. In addition to helping the development team with creating a logo for the app store and android store, I assisted in the research and development of how the manual side of the app will work. For example, we came up with an electronic workflow that shows how the app will work and how we will contact and hire contractors. We also created a profit margin spreadsheet to show our investors how we plan on making a profit. Finally, we implemented our profit margin spreadsheet data into our code for our estimator tool.

I would give myself a 4 out of 5 for this week at MIGHTY . I believe I have gone above and beyond what has been asked of me and I continue to grow each and everyday. However, I think there are more IT related tasks that I should and could be doing. It is difficult to understand what those IT tasks are because the majority of the development team is located in Russia. Once the application is launched, we can start working on fixing the bugs and updating the app as a internal development team. This internship has given me the motivation to take additional online refresher courses for HTML5 and JavaScript. My goal for next week is to complete the rates & review page on our website, beta test and create a survey for the newly released application (Jun 19th), and create a pricing tool. In the coming weeks, we will start strategizing for the release of our second App which will be geared for trades professionals (contractors).
